When you want to increase the branding of your products, you will want to utilize printing on your packaging. Corrugated boxes provide a fine medium for printing and, combined with the structural integrity of corrugated boxes and packaging, can be a complete custom packaging solution. There are 3 primary ways to print on your corrugated box:
Litho Laminating – A very common way to place graphic design onto a corrugated box. By laminating an 80# sheet of preprinted paper onto a box, you can place high end printed graphics onto a structurally sound package. Also available is singleface litho laminating which gives an even higher print quality and structural integrity. Common uses of litho laminating include POP (point of purchase) displays, retail packaging, vitamin packaging, electronics packaging, and custom packaging.
Direct Print – Normally direct flexo printing is used to identify shippers, print logos, or as a cost effective retail packaging print. Flexo printing is 1-3 colors and can be done on either white or kraft corrugated boxes. Also available in direct print is 4 color process printing. Using print plates, we can achieve a similar look to a litho laminated box. Common uses are retail shippers, POP displays, costco trays, and retail display kits.
Digital Printing – Artwork files are uploaded to a local computer and the computer will communicate directly with the printer. This process removes plates and cutting dies from the printing and cutting process. Due to the newness of this printing technology, primary uses are short runs for signs, plastic corrugated printing, displays, banners, and movie standees.
