Shippers
RSC (Regular Slotted Container) – All the flaps on a corrugated RSC box have the same length and the 2 outer flaps are one half the corrugated containers width, so that they meet at the center of the box when folded. If your product requires a flat, even bottom surface, or the protection of 2 full layers, you can always use a corrugated pad between the two inner flaps. The RSC is a highly efficient corrugated box shipper and is the most commonly used box.
HSC (Half Slotted Container) – The same box as the RSC, without one set of inner flaps. Often 2 HSCs are used to telescope over one another giving the shipper high strength.
OSC (Overlap Slotted Container) – All flaps have the same length on this corrugated box. The outer flaps overlap by one or more inches and is usually closed with staples driven through the outer area. Customers use this style box when needing extra reinforcement along the middle seam of the box.
FOL (Full Overlap Slotted Container) – The corrugated box is especially resistant to rough handling. The outer flaps come within one inch of a complete overlap. When this corrugated shipper is stacked on its bottom panel, the overlapping flaps provide added cushioning. When it is stacked on the side, the extra thickness provided by the corrugated adds strength.
AFM (All Flaps Meet) – Inner and outer flaps are cut to different lengths which gives this corrugated box extra strength and thickness. The inner flaps also provide a level base for the product.
1PF (One Piece Folder) – No glue flaps are needed with this simple corrugated box. Commonly used as a mailing box, you will need packing tape to assemble these boxes.
FPF (Five Panel Folder) – A single cut and scored piece of corrugated features a fifth panel with can be used as a closing flap, completely covering the side panel. The closed box has several layers of combined board on each end, providing high amounts of stacking strength and protection for long articles of small diameter.
Specialty Boxes
TTABTM (Tuck Top Auto Bottom) - One of the more popular styles of specialty corrugated boxes because it allows for easy printing and quick assembly on the production line. Just like the name says, the top of the corrugated box tucks in and the bottom is automatically popped into place quickly and easily. Common uses are food packaging, retail packaging, biotech packaging, coffee packaging, tea packaging, and sporting goods packaging.
RETT (Rolled End Tuck Top) - Simple unglued box that needs to be folded when assembled. The sides are 3 layers of corrugated for added strength and the top opens and closes with a tuck to the inside of the box. Also can be made with cherry locks and dust flaps for increased security and strength. Common uses for this corrugated box are vitamin packaging, retail packaging, coffee packaging, tea packaging, Costco packaging, and pharmaceutical packaging.
TTSNLBTM (Tuck Top Snap Lock Bottom) - Same as a tuck top auto bottom but the bottom is not pre glued. It has four flaps that are folded and locked to form the bottom. It has a stronger bottom vs. the auto bottom, less expensive to manufacture, but takes longer to assemble. Common uses are food packaging, retail packaging, biotech packaging, coffee packaging, tea packaging, and sporting goods packaging.
Dispenser box - These dispenser type corrugated boxes can be used to dispense products adhered to a tape substrate or glue dots if the opening is in the form of a slit. This box can also come in a bottom opening tray format in which the product is gravity fed into the tray, typical applications including medicine packaging, candy bar packaging, retail packaging, and food packaging.
6 corner beers tray – This corrugated tray is a self erecting box designed for quick assembly and easy shipping. Common uses of this tray are food packaging and retail packaging
Bulk Bins –The bulk bin is a large corrugated fiberboard tube or half slotted body, with one or tow covers. The distinction between this corrugated bin box and a regular box is the weight and/or size, not necessarily style. Most bulk bins are used as floor displays for retail packaging and food packaging. They are fixed to a pallet and loaded onto the floor using a fork lift or pallet jack.
